This policy explains what information SpeedWise ("we", "us") collects when you visit https://speedwise.crushjs.com, and how it is used.

The speed test

To measure your connection, your browser downloads test files from our servers and uploads random test data to them. The uploaded data is counted and immediately discarded; it never contains anything from your device. Your results are calculated in your browser.

To show you which server and provider you're connected to, our server reads the information that comes with every web request: your IP address, the network (ISP) it belongs to and the approximate location of that network, as provided by our hosting provider Cloudflare. This is sent back to your browser to display and is not stored by us or linked to your results.

Test history and preferences stored on your device

Your recent results, your color theme and your language choice are saved in your browser's local storage so you can compare tests over time. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it with the "Clear history" button or in your browser settings.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. We use this only to keep the site secure and working, and to understand overall traffic.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages, which helps keep the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
